Hyundai H100 recovered after theft in Umlazi, KZN!

Call received from the client reporting that their vehicle, a Hyundai H100 had been stolen from Umlazi, KZN. The client requested that we activate the recovery process. The client was advised that a ground team would be dispatched.

All vehicle details were retrieved from the monitoring platform and a stationary position in Umlazi U section was noted. The relevant ground team was contacted and dispatched with all details pertaining to the theft handed over.

It was noted on the monitoring platform that the vehicle had not been updating consistently as the device was struggling to connect. This suggested that the device may have been compromised. The agents en-route were contacted and informed they were 15 minutes from the position.

Contact was established with Umlazi SAPS. The officer was informed of the incident and advised that units would be dispatched to the location.

The client called in to provide our recovery center with the police case number for the incident. The client was also advised that SAPS and our ground team was en-route and nearly on scene.

Contact was established with the ground team who informed they had reached the position, but there was no through fare. The agents stated that they would need to park the vehicles and proceed on foot as there was no visual of the vehicle from their position.

New updates were received from the tracking device and the co-ordinates were forwarded to the ground team. The agents provided and ETA of two minutes

Confirmation received from the ground team informing that the vehicle had been recovered and positively identified. The agents informed that the battery had been stolen and the ignition area had been tampered with. Photographic confirmation received. Called the client to inform that the vehicle was in the possession of our ground team and SAPS members who were on scene. The client was also informed that our agents would stand down so that SAPS members could begin processing the scene.

One suspect arrested in connection with Stolen Toyota Etios!
